"Oscar Shorts - Celebrate the Underdog" was founded in 2010 as part of the Montclair Arts Council (MAC) with the goal to share these "underdogs" of the Academy Awards with the people of Montclair since these are films people hardly ever get to see. In our one day marathon film screening we show them all and we give you behind the scene insights into each filmand having the chance to see all the nominated shorts before the Academy Awards gives you an "inside edge on the Oscar pools!
This year we're celebrating our 8th anniversary and are delighted to be back at Buzz Aldrin Middle School. We want to thank Dr. Jill Sack, Principal of Buzz Aldrin, Daniel Taylor, STEM Coordinator and Brian Lacivita, the school's Broadcast Studio instructor for their support. We would also like to thank our sponsor - Montclair's Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
